CHILLI MASALA PORK RIBS

Serves: 4 to 6 people.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 5 hours.

Dietary Style: GF. DF.

I loved the idea of chilli, honey and soy with slow cooked pork ribs, so when I made The Spirit Of Spice Chilli Masala this was one of the first recipes I tested. Get the fleshiest, best quality pork ribs you can and give yourself six hours to cook them down on a really low heat, turning occasionally, so that the end result is just as you would want it to be - jam packed full of flavour, a little spicy, a little sweet, a little tangy and a whole lot sticky. Just the way a good pork rib should be.

INGREDIENTS

  • 800 gm pork ribs
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 tsp Chilli Masala

  1. Heat your oven to 160 degrees celsius fan forced.

  2. In a heavy based crockpot with a lid, place all of the ingredients together. Turn the pork rib in the oils and sauces and spices to coat.

  3. Cook the pork ribs with the lid on in the 160 degree oven for around 4 hours. Slow to 140 degrees and to continue to cook for a further 60 to 90 minutes.

  4. Serve.
